The removal of sulfate ions from natural waters, as well industrial effluents different origins, is a problem, considering that most the proposed processes are inefficient and have high cost, mainly when reducing ion concentration to values below 500 mg.L−1 required. flotation technique, combined with precipitation, has proven be efficient for heavy metal ions. However, there not enough research confirm its efficiency This article presents results synthetic solutions prepared in an acidic medium, applying co-precipitation techniques polyaluminum chloride (PAC) solid/liquid separation by dissolved air (DAF). effect pH, [PAC: ions] ratio, saturated water flow air, flocculant collector doses were studied. achieved it possible reduce 1 800 350 (80% removal) technique precipitation.
